Parties advocate increasing the value of food aid through the social card

The Portuguese parliament debated initiatives related to social support and family allowances, including a proposal by the JPP to update the amounts provided through the electronic card 'Mais Pessoas' and establish a periodic review mechanism for these values. A Assembleia da República debateu nesta quinta-feira um conjunto de iniciativas relacionadas com apoios sociais e o abono de família, entre as quais uma proposta do JPP para actualizar os montantes atribuídos através do cartão social electrónico Mais Pessoas e criar um mecanismo de revisão periódica dos respectivos valores, que será votada nesta sexta-feira. Este tema acabou por não ser abordado pelos deputados durante o debate parlamentar, mas, questionados pelo PÚBLICO, PS, PAN, IL, Livre e BE também defendem uma revisão dos valores atribuídos através deste apoio alimentar. O Governo (PSD/CDS) e o Chega não responderam.
