The City of Zagreb and the Federation of Anti-Fascist Fighters and Anti-Fascists of the Republic of Croatia (SABA RH) are organizing a Concert of Partisan Songs, which will be held today starting at 1 p.m. in the Small Lisinski Hall.

"As long as it's a national holiday, I don't see anything controversial", said Tomašević.The Zagreb HDZ, whose statement is reproduced in its entirety, looked back on everything. The Zagreb mayor, Tomislav Tomašević, was asked by journalists at a regular press conference whether it was appropriate for the City to participate in the organization of the concert, given that new mass graves from the massacres are being discovered throughout Zagreb.

"The City of Zagreb and the Anti-Fascist Union today organized a concert of partisan songs in the Concert Hall of Vatroslav Lisinsky.

model ideology as a means to distract from corruption affairs and unresolved problems in the city.

"Zagreb under the rule of the Platform and the Party has become a city of forbidden patriotism"

The basis of the modern Croatian state is not a communist totalitarian regime, but the Homeland War - the victorious, liberating and defensive war of the Croatian people. It is therefore incomprehensible that the Tomašević government prohibits the reception of bronze Croatian handball players in the Square and Mark Perković Thompson's concerts, while at the same time unreservedly promoting the symbols of totalitarian regimes.

Zagreb, as a modern European city, should be celebrating the European Day of Remembrance of the Victims of All Totalitarian and Authoritarian Regimes with dignity, but instead, under the rule of the Platform and the Party, it has become a city of forbidden patriotism and the promotion of totalitarian heritage", says a statement signed by Ivan Matijević, president of the HDZ of Zagreb.

Tomašević: I don't know what the City funded

Tomašević previously stated that he was not informed in detail about the organization. "I don't know what the City financed, I wasn't even involved in that organization, so I didn't even know until recently that the Union of Anti-Fascist Fighters with the City co-organized that concert in Lisinsky on the occasion of the Anti-Fascist Struggle Day, which is a national holiday", he said.

"It's been a public holiday for 35 years. As long as it is, I don't see anything controversial in it. That doesn't mean I don't condemn all the crimes that have been committed. That's what I said when you asked me on the Trnjan hills and I can repeat it again", the mayor concluded.
