1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Objective News at objective-news.org (the "Service"). By using the Service or creating an account, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Objective News aggregates publicly available news from many outlets and adds AI-assisted analysis of political lean, topic, factuality, and the spectrum of coverage. Bias and factuality ratings are automated estimates to aid your own judgement, not statements of fact or absolute truth. Article copyright belongs to the original publishers; we link to their sites.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Supporter subscription

• The Supporter subscription unlocks premium features (for example the social pulse, community voting, and the personalized For You feed). Pricing is shown on the pricing page (currently €5/month or €50/year) and may change with notice for future billing periods.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically each period until cancelled.
• You can cancel at any time from your account's billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the current paid period.
• Except where required by applicable consumer law, payments are non-refundable. EU/EEA consumers may have a statutory right of withdrawal; by starting a subscription you may agree that access begins immediately.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• break the law or infringe others' rights;
• scrape, overload, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service;
• misuse community voting (for example manipulation, automation, or fraud);
• resell or redistribute the Service or its content without permission.

6. Intellectual property

News articles, headlines, and images belong to their respective publishers. Our software, design, and the analysis we generate are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the Service.

7. Third-party content and links

The Service links to third-party websites and surfaces third-party content. We do not control and are not responsible for that content or those sites.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the analysis is accurate, complete, or uninterrupted.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including mandatory consumer rights.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Slovenia, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.
