In the print edition of Democracy, read: Historical Movement: The National Assembly passed a new law on the burial of victims of the Revolution

The Slovenian National Assembly has passed a new law amending the legislation regarding the burial of victims of the communist revolution. The amendment designates May 17th as a national memorial day for victims of communist violence. It mandates the exhumation and reburial of remains at the central Ljubljana cemetery Žale, which will gain official cultural heritage status. The law also requires the collection of biological samples for genetic identification of victims, allowing families to learn the fate of their ancestors and inscribe names on graves.

Slovenija je naredila odločilen korak k popravi zgodovinskih krivic in uveljavitvi temeljnih civilizacijskih norm.
