The Radiant Van

Ljubljana, 15. 6. 2026 – V Generali galeriji so se v četrtek, 11. junija, zbrali ljubiteljice in ljubitelji umetnosti na odprtju druge letošnje razstave. Svoja dela je na ogled postavila umetnica Ive Tratnik z razstavo, ki nosi naslov Udomačevanje lačnih duhov (Taming of the Hungry Ghosts). Umetnica predstavlja dela, ki so nastajala od leta 2023 do danes, večino del pa je predstavljenih primerno.

Naslov razstave je Udomačevanje lačnih duhov (Taming of the Hungry Ghosts), izraz »lačni duhovi« pa je vzet iz budizma - to so bitja, ki si včasih na mejnem področju delijo prostor z ljudmi, vendar so za večino ljudi nevidni. Umetnica se v svojih delih osredotoča na obdobje spopadanja z demoni, življenjskimi preizkušnjami, iskanjem smisla, in to prenese v obliko umetniške manifestacije. Zgodbe so rezultat sinkretičnega oziroma eklektičnega spajanja različnih svetovnih referenc in verovanj z

zgodbo.

»Umetniška dela Ive Tratnik so polna nadrealističnih, namišljenih in iluzionističnih podob, ki jih ustvari s pomočjo barvnih kontrastov, abstraktnih vzorcev in geometrijskih likov, ki ustvarjajo vtis gibanja,« je o razstavi povedala Petra Bizilj Silva, kustosinja v Generali galeriji.

Kolorit na njenih slikah je poln živih barv, ki kar sijejo v gledalca. Upodobitve fantastičnih živali in rastlin gledalcu ponujajo potovanje in vpogled v umetničino neizmerno domišljijo ter v fantazijske svetove. Odprtje razstave je tokrat pospremil tudi glasbenik in umetnik Guillermo Escalante, ki je izvedel glasbeno-instrumentalno točko in razstavo na kratko tudi komentiral: »Pot umetnika se vedno začne v sedanjosti, kjer mitologija deluje kot potencial – aktivira se šele skozi prostor,

čas in osebno izkušnjo. Umetnica v procesu ustvarjanja prehaja iz občutka odtujenosti in izgube spiritualnosti ter skozi bolečino in dvom oblikuje lasten izrazni jezik ter vzpostavi novo povezavo z notranjim in univerzalnim. Razstava tako predstavlja njeno transformacijo: od občutka krivde do najdbe lastnega glasu, identitete in duhovne celovitosti.«

Direktorica marketinga in odnosov z javnostmi Svetlana Almaš pa je ob odprtju dejala: »V poletje vstopamo z novo razstavo v Generali galeriji, kjer umetnica Iva Tratnik večino svojih del predstavlja premierno. Veseli me, da je umetnica za to priložnost izbrala našo Galerijo, saj v Generaliju posebno pozornost namenjamo podpori uveljavljenim umetnikom in ohranjanju slovenske kulturne dediščine. Zavarovalnica Generali v skladu s svojimi trajnostnimi zavezami nenehno vlaga v družbeno odgovorne projekte. Med drugim že vrsto let podpira tudi slovenske umetnike in se zavzema za ohranjanje slovenske kulturne dediščine. Del teh prizadevanj je že 12 let Generali galerija, ki je s svojim depojem prava zakladnica umetnosti - premore namreč okoli 1000 del.

Posebna zahvala gre tudi družbi Generali Investments d. o. o., podporniku Generali galerije od vsega začetka do danes. Prav tako se družini Gantar, pokroviteljici galerije, katere pobudnik in ustanovitelj je bil Matjaž Gantar, iskreno zahvaljujejo za podporo in sodelovanje pri delovanju galerije. Razstava umetnice Ive Tratnik bo na ogled od 11. junija do 4. septembra, obiskovalcem pa bo na ogled v Generali galeriji na Dunajski cesti 63 vsak delovni dan od 8. do 18. ure.

O avtorici: Akademska slikarka Iva Tratnik (1980, Celje) je diplomirala leta 2006 in magistrirala leta 2012 na Akademiji za likovno umetnost in oblikovanje v Ljubljani. Njeno ustvarjanje je preplet različnih tehnik. Raziskuje izrazne in materialne možnosti v slikarstvu, ustvarja velika oljna in akrilna platna, kolaže, portrete, skulpture, tekstilne kolaže, risbe in instalacije v različnih medijih, najraje iz recikliranih materialov. Poleg vizualne umetnosti deluje tudi na področju

performansa in butoh plesa. Sodelovala je z različnimi umetniki in kolektivi doma in v tujini, med drugim z Markom Jakšetom, Jeanom Danielom Frickerjem in kolektivom Hupa Brajdič. Svoja dela je razstavljala na številnih razstavah, leta 2015 je zastopala Slovenijo na Expu v Milanu, leta 2023 pa se je predstavila v Berlinu. Živi in ustvarja v Celju.
