Protein recycling expands

The Finnish Food Safety Authority has announced recalls of several protein bars due to an undeclared egg white ingredient, which could cause allergic reactions in consumers with egg allergies. The affected products include various brands under Leader Foods and Coop, sold in multiple retail chains across Finland. Raaka-aineen virhe saattaa aiheuttaa oireita kananmunalle allergisille kuluttajille.

Useita eri proteiinipatukoita vedetään myynnistä, tiedottaa Ruokavirasto.

Leader Foods Oy on aiemmin ilmoittanut patukoiden takaisinvedoista, jotka tehtiin raaka-aineessa olleen ilmoittamattoman kananmunan takia.

Yritys on nyt todennut, että raaka-aineessa oleva virhe koskee toistakin saman valmistajan raaka-ainetta. Näin ollen takaisinveto laajenee koskemaan useita eri Leader- ja Coop-tuotemerkkien proteiinipatukoita.

Virhe saattaa aiheuttaa oireita kananmunalle allergisille kuluttajille.

Coop-tuotemerkin tuotteita on myyty S-ryhmän Prisma-, S-market-, Sale-, Alepa-, ABC- ja Food Market Herkku -myymälöissä sekä verkkokaupoissa.

Leader-tuotemerkin tuotteita on ollut myynnissä eri kauppaketjujen myymälöissä.
