Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian commented on the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the US and Iran, stating it is a 'historical document' and a message of Iran's commitment to peace while maintaining its dignity and independence. The memorandum was signed separately by Trump and Pezeshkian at different events.

Iranski predsednik, Masud Pezeškijan , oglasio se na društvenoj mreži "Iks" povodom potpisivanja Memoranduma o razumevanju između SAD i Irana o prekidu rata i uvodu u period koji bi mogao da bude krunisan potpisivanjem konačnog mirovnog sporazuma u naredna dva meseca.

Predsednik Irana je napisao da je dokument koji su potpisala dvojica lidera "istorijski" .

- Ovo je istorijski dokument i poruka moćnog Irana da će mir biti ostvaren u duhu međusobnog poštovanja. Islamska Republika Iran oduvek je bila posvećena i dosledna očuvanju globalnog mira, uz istovremeno očuvanje svog dostojanstva i nezavisnosti, kao i napretku i regionalnoj saradnji. Ovaj tekst odražava glas naroda koji svoje dostojanstvo i nezavisnost nije menjao ni za kakve pretnje ili pritiske. Ono što je danas zabeleženo rezultat je nacionalne istrajnosti, političke racionalnosti i odgovorne diplomatije - istakao je Pezeškijan.

Podsetimo,  Donald Tramp i Masud Pezeškijan, predsednici Amerike i Irana, potpisali su Memorandum o razumevanju odvojeno, jedan u Versaju na večeri koju je nakon završetka samita G7 šefu Bele kuće organizovao francuski predsednik Emanuel Makron, a drugi u svom kabinetu u Teheranu.
