Pod wodą znalazła się między innymi część autostrady międzystanowej numer 35 w Waco. Ruch na niej został wstrzymany, doszło do paraliżu komunikacyjnego. Strażacy mieli pełne ręce roboty, zabezpieczali zalane auta i pomagali wydostać się z nich pasażerom i kierowcom.

"Naprawdę mam szczęście, że żyję" - napisał w mediach społecznościowych Rick Smith, który nagrał film, na którym widać ludzi brodzących w wodzie sięgającej do pasa. "Ta sytuacja mogłaby się skończyć tragicznie. Wielu z nas było dosłownie uwięzionych na autostradzie I-35" - dodał.
