Hamlet Returns: A Classical Dance in a New Style on the Grand Stage of HNK Varaždin

Na Velikoj sceni varaždinskog HNK-a u nedjelju je premijerno izveden komorni balet "Hamlet" autora i koreografa Svebora Sečaka, nastao u koprodukciji Hrvatskog narodnog kazališta u Varaždinu i Hrvatskog društva profesionalnih baletnih umjetnika.

Obnovljena verzija predstave, prvi put postavljene 2004., donosi novo čitanje Shakespeareove tragedije kroz pokret i glazbu Petra Iljiča Čajkovskog.

Predstava je tijekom godina ostvarila više od 40 gostovanja na međunarodnim pozornicama, među kojima su londonski Sadler’s Wells te festivali i gostovanja u Južnoafričkoj Republici, Egiptu, Tunisu, Venezueli i na Bermudi.

Novo izdanje "Hamleta" okuplja međunarodne baletne umjetnike angažirane u zagrebačkom HNK-u, a kroz ples donosi Shakespeareovu priču o ljubavi, izdaji, unutarnjim sukobima i osveti.

Sečakov "Hamlet" usmjeren je na jasno pripovijedanje priče i emocionalna stanja likova, uz naglasak na Hamletovu osobnu i političku krizu u zatvorenom svijetu dvora Elsinor. Predstava pritom zadržava prepoznatljivu atmosferu Shakespeareova predloška, ali ga oblikuje u sažetu plesnu formu.

Balet je zamišljen kao sažeta interpretacija Shakespeareove drame, s naglašenom porukom o prolaznosti i posljedicama ljudskih odluka.

Koreografiju potpisuje Svebor Sečak prema zamisli Slavka Pervana, libreto Darko Lukić, kostimografiju Barbara Bourek, a scenografiju Dinka Jeričević. U predstavi nastupaju Pavel Savin u naslovnoj ulozi te Leda Šeparović, Natalia Kosovac, Taiguara Goulart, Thomas Boddington, Dan Rus i Samuele Berbenni.

Repriza "Hamleta" najavljena je za subotu, 20. lipnja od 20 sati.
