Le 18 juin 1940, le général de Gaulle lançait, depuis Londres, son célèbre appel à refuser la défaite et à poursuivre le combat contre l'ennemi défiant ainsi le Maréchal Pétain. C'était il y a 86 ans. A cette occasion, Emmanuel Macron a  rendu hommage au Mont Valérien à ceux qui se sont battus pour la France et à ceux qui ont résisté.
