Her hybrid genre films explore power dynamics and desires within the context of gender, class, and difference. Her graduation film Sposojeni spomin i (2001) received multiple international awards for best film and best direction, and is part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Her films Attenberg (2010) and Chevalier (2015) were Greece's candidates for the Oscar for Best International Feature Film. She also collaborated on a short film and video installation titled Kapsula, exhibited at the international contemporary art exhibition Documenta 13 in Germany.
