The 'Film under the Stars' event has begun at Ljubljana Castle today, featuring the opening screening of the Croatian-Slovenian co-production 'Fiume o morte!', directed by Igor Bezinović. The film, which won the European Film Academy award and was the most-watched movie at Kinodvor last year, offers a non-conventional historical reconstruction set in 1919, depicting the eccentric Italian poet Gabriele D'Annunzio's occupation of Rijeka and his declaration of independence. The event, organized by Kinodvor in collaboration with Ljubljana Castle, will run over 24 evenings, showcasing premieres, pre-premieres, and notable films of the season. Among the highlights are Pedro Almodóvar’s new drama 'Bridki božič,' Christopher Nolan’s 'Odiseja,' and the Slovenian film 'Skriti ljudje.' Other notable films include 'Ena bitka za drugo' by Paul Thomas Anderson and 'Belo se pere na devetdeset' based on a bestselling autobiography.
