We've already identified the shortcomings of the Bridge of Sighs, and the rehabilitation could take until next summer.

The Pelješki Bridge has been found to have minor surface cracks in the concrete protective layer of some pillars during routine inspections. These issues do not threaten the bridge's stability or traffic safety, according to Hrvatske ceste, the state road authority. The repairs, which involve removing damaged concrete layers and restoring protection, are expected to begin after the end of the tourist season this autumn and could last until the start of next year’s tourist season. Some work might continue into the fall of next year if not completed by then. The bridge remains under warranty, and the final cost of the repairs is still unknown.
