Vojnici na dobrovoljnom služenju vojnog roka generacije „jun 2026“ danas su u kasarni „Vojvoda Petar Bojović“ u Leskovcu položili zakletvu, a ministar odbrane Bratislav Gašić poručio im je u obraćanju na svečanosti da kroz vojničke dane treba da ih vodi ljubav prema Srbiji, vojnička čast i svest da nema veće privilegije od služenja svojoj domovini.
Gašić je istakao da se u vojci, pored razvijanja vojničkih veština i znanja, gradi poverenje ljudi na koje se Srbija može osloniti, kao i da Srbija ostaje na svom putu nezavisnosti i vojne neutralnosti.
"Srbija želi i ponosno čuva mir, a to je jedino moguće ukoliko je dovoljno snažna i nastavi da bude jaka i ima modernu vojsku spremnu da odgovori na sve izazove", rekao je Gašić i dodao da Srbija danas, za razliku od perioda od 2000. do 2012. godine kada je dugi niz godina bila suočena sa nedovoljnim ulaganjem i zanemarivanjem, ima savremenu i dobro opremljenu vojsku.
Naveo je da se, zahvaljujući odgovornoj državnoj politici i snažnoj podršci vrhovnog komandanta i predsednika Republike Aleksandra Vučića, Vojska Srbije (VS) iz godine u godinu razvija i spremna je da odgovori novim bezbednosnim i tehnološkim izazovima.
Rezultate odgovornog rada i zalaganja, kako je najavio, pokazaće na Vidovdan, kada će na vojnom aerodromu Batajnici i poligonu Pasuljanske livade biti predstavljeno najsavremenije naoružanje i vojna tehnika, a pripadnici VS pokazati svoju osposobljenost, odlučnost i spremnost da u svakom trenutku brane Srbiju.
"Dragi roditelji, dok gledate svoje sinove i kćeri u stroju, verujem da se pred vašim očima smenjuju godine odrastanja, brige, odricanja, podrške i ljubavi koje ste im nesebično pružili. Od prvih koraka do ovog svečanog trenutka bili ste njihov oslonac, njihova snaga i njihova sigurnost. Hvala vam što ste ih vaspitali da vole svoju zemlju i budu spremni da preuzmu odgovornost onda kada je to najpotrebnije", naveo je Gašić.
On je vojnicima čestitao na položenoj zakletvi i zahvalio im što su doneli odluku dostojnu najvećeg poštovanja i uvažavanja.
"Ostanite verni zakletvi koju ste dali, tradiciji i svom narodu. Čuvajte slobodu Srbije i uzvišene ideale vojničkog poziva. Živela Vojska Srbije, živela Srbija", rekao je Gašić.
Vojnik Viktorija Veljković je rekla da se za dobrovoljno služenje vojnog roka odlučila jer joj je to bila velika želja i jer je navikla na rad, red i disciplinu.
"Moja porodica i moji prijatelji su bili velika podrška, posebno otac zato što je on služio vojni rok i bio mi je velika podrška u ovome. Njihova podrška mi mnogo znači", naglasila je ona.
Jedan od vojnika na služenju dobrovoljnog vojnog roka Damjan Gojković je izjavio da je odlučio da se priključi VS jer je slušao priče prijatelja i porodice o precima o vojsci, o vojnoj kulturi i o istoriji Srbije.
U ovoj odluci su ga, kako je rekao, podržali prijatelji, koji su takođe pripadnici VS, od kojih je dobio dosta saveta kako da se pripremi za početak u VS.
Kristijan Keunić, koji je takođe na služenju dobrovoljnog roka, je rekao da je od članova svoje porodice, koji su bili oficiri i podoficiri, često slušao kako je lep i časan čin biti deo vojske.
