Slike dugačkih kolona na naplatnim rampama tokom praznika i vikend putovanja, kao i čekanje u redovima za plaćanje putarine, za nekoliko godina mogle bi da postanu prošlost na grčkim auto-putevima.Novi sistem sve je bliži uvođenju u Grčkoj.
Cilj nadležnih je modernizacija naplate putarine i usklađivanje sa savremenim evropskim standardima.
Sistem slobodnog protoka saobraćaja
Reč je o takozvanom sistemu slobodnog protoka saobraćaja (Free Flow) , koji omogućava vozilima da prolaze auto-putem bez zaustavljanja i usporavanja. Istovremeno se uvodi pravedniji način naplate, jer će vozači plaćati tačno onoliko kilometara koliko su prešli na deonici pod naplatom.
To predstavlja veliku promenu u odnosu na sadašnji model sa naplatnim rampama i zaposlenima na stanicama. Umesto fiksnog iznosa, putarina će se obračunavati prema stvarno pređenoj udaljenosti, piše grčki sajt Carandmotor .

Prema dosadašnjim informacijama, prvi auto-put u Grčkoj koji će u potpunosti koristiti ovaj sistem biće Severna putna osovina Krita (VOAK). Plan Ministarstva infrastrukture i saobraćaja predviđa da upravo ovaj novi auto-put posluži kao pilot-projekat za buduću primenu iste tehnologije na drugim važnim saobraćajnicama, poput Atiki Odosa i auto-puta PATHE.
U budućnosti bi to značilo da vozači više neće plaćati unapred određeni iznos na svakoj naplatnoj stanici, već isključivo kilometre koje su zaista prešli.
Kako će sistem funkcionisati
Umesto klasičnih rampi, iznad auto-puta biće postavljene digitalne kapije opremljene kamerama visoke rezolucije za očitavanje registarskih tablica, laserskim senzorima za prepoznavanje kategorije vozila i uređajima za očitavanje elektronskih tagova (e-pass).
Vozila će moći da prolaze bez zaustavljanja, normalnom brzinom, što će doprineti boljem protoku saobraćaja i smanjenju gužvi.
Plaćanje će se obavljati isključivo elektronski - putem e-pass uređaja povezanog sa korisničkim nalogom ili preko posebne aplikacije i internet platforme za vozače koji nemaju tag.

Ako vozilo prođe bez plaćanja, automatski se evidentira kao prekršaj
U tom slučaju sistem će automatski registrovati registarsku oznaku vozila, a vlasnik će imati određeni rok da izmiri putarinu.
Posebna pažnja biće posvećena sprečavanju zloupotreba. Ako vozilo prođe bez plaćanja, sistem će automatski evidentirati prekršaj, proveriti podatke o vlasniku u nadležnim bazama i elektronskim putem poslati kaznu. Naplata bi, prema najavama, mogla da se sprovodi preko poreske uprave AADE.
Podsetimo, naplata putarine prema pređenoj kilometraži već se primenjuje na auto-putu Olympia Odos od 2021. godine , ali samo za korisnike e-pass uređaja.
