A 22-year-old man was seriously injured when his Renault Clio caught fire while he was repairing it in a garage. The fire started after he lit a cigarette, leading to significant damage to both the car and the workshop. Firefighters responded to the incident, and the injured man received medical treatment at a trauma clinic in Zagreb. Prema informacijama policije, nesreća se dogodila oko 20.10 sati u Kurilovečkoj ulici. Dvadesetdvogodišnjak je u radionici popravljao svoj osobni automobil marke Renault Clio zagrebačkih registarskih oznaka kada je zapalio cigaretu.

Uslijed toga došlo je do zapaljenja vozila koje je vrlo brzo zahvatila vatra. Automobil je u požaru potpuno izgorio, a plamen se proširio i na vrata radionice koja su nagorjela.

Na intervenciju su izašli vatrogasci koji su ugasili požar, dok je teško ozlijeđenom mladiću pružena liječnička pomoć u Klinici za traumatologiju u Zagrebu.

Policija provodi daljnje izvide, a materijalna šteta nastala u požaru zasad nije utvrđena.
