The United States is considering sending more troops to Poland .

The United States is considering increasing the number of permanent American military personnel stationed in Poland. This was discussed during a meeting between Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz and US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth in Brussels. The US sent an additional 5000 troops to Poland in May, citing President Donald Trump's belief that the re-election of Polish President Andrzej Duda was successful. Poland has been seeking to strengthen its security by enhancing military ties with the West, especially after the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
