VALID: The officialization of Serbian in Kumanovo bears the stamp of DUI

At a press conference, representatives of the VLEN coalition accused the BDI party of political hypocrisy, citing a May 4, 2010 document from the Municipality of Kumanovo that they say shows BDI backed making Serbian an official language there (where Serbs are about 6.5% of the population) while leaving Albanian issues unresolved for years. VLEN said it does not oppose officializing any language but objects to what it called BDI's false patriotism, contrasting BDI's opposition rhetoric with its own record in government.
