Un centenar de guerrilleros depuso las armas el jueves en una zona selvática del sur de Colombia en el marco de una negociación con el presidente izquierdista Gustavo Petro , que quema los últimos cartuchos de su cuestionada política de paz.

A tres días de la segunda vulta que definirá al próximo presidente, la entrega de armas es el primer paso para que los rebeldes puedan instalarse en una zona especial donde aspiran consolidar acuerdos con el Gobierno. También representa el mayor avance de la "paz total" de Petro, el primer gobernante de izquierda de Colombia, que intentó sin éxito pactar con todos los grupos armados del país.

De camuflado, 99 rebeldes de la Coordinadora Nacional Ejército Bolivariano (CNEB) dejaron sus fusiles en un contenedor gigante con la leyenda "Le apuesta a la vida, le cumplo a la paz", en medio de la selva del departamento de Putumayo (sur).
