A Szent Imre Kórház közelmúltja sajnos nem volt mentes a sajtóban is megjelent komoly működési zavaroktól – írta Hegedűs Zsolt . Magyarország egészségügyi minisztere példának említette a sürgősségi osztály működését veszélyeztető szakemberhiányt, illetve a pszichiátriai osztály félbemaradt felújítását.

Hegedűsék indokoltnak látták az intézmény élén a vezetőváltást, amivel az intézmény eddigi főigazgatója, dr. Bedros J. Róbert is egyetértett, aki hétfő délután bejelentette nyugdíjba vonulását. Az egészségügyi miniszter a Dél-budai Centrumkórház Szent Imre Egyetemi Oktatókórház

megbízott igazgatói pozíciójára Prof. dr. Járai Zoltánt, az orvosigazgatói poszt betöltésére pedig dr. Kerkovits Andrást kérte fel.

Az ő feladatuk lesz

az eddigi működés átvilágítása;

hibáinak feltárása;

a kórház irányításának új alapokra helyezése;

valamint egy új, transzparens, a dolgozókat megtartani képes vezetési stílus kialakítása.

Az orvosi kamara decemberben arról írt, hogy patthelyzet alakult ki az újbudai Szent Imre Kórházban , áprilisban pedig szakmai mulasztás miatt vizsgálták a kórházat, ahol későn ismerték fel egy idős nő halálos infarktusát .
