Trumpille ja Zelenskyille ei ole suunnitteilla kahdenkeskistä tapaamista, mutta he saattavat viranomaisten mukaan kohdata toisensa huippukokouksen yhteydessä.
Presidentti Trumpin on tarkoitus nostaa huippukokouksessa esiin muun muassa talouskasvuun sekä toimitusketjujen häiriönsietokykyyn liittyviä aiheita, yksi viranomaisista sanoo.
Lisäksi Trumpin on hänen mukaansa tarkoitus puhua laittomasta siirtolaisuudesta ja tekoälystä sekä vahvistaa kriittisten mineraalien toimitusketjujen varmuutta. Mineraaleja tarvitaan muun muassa huipputeknologiassa.
Trumpin on määrä osallistua keskiviikkona Versailles'n palatsissa järjestettävälle illalliselle, minkä jälkeen hän palaa Washingtoniin, viranomaiset sanovat. Asiasta kertovat uutistoimistot AFP ja Reuters.
Kenraaliluutnantti: Nato yhtä mieltä – Tällöin Venäjän hyökkäykseen pitää olla valmis
Nato jakaa yhteisen arvion siitä, milloin Venäjä saattaisi hyökätä liittouman alueelle, sanoo saksalainen kenraaliluutnantti Christian Freuding .
Saksan ja muiden liittouman maiden tulee varautua mahdolliseen hyökkäykseen vuoteen 2029 mennessä tai jopa aiemmin, Freuding sanoo Politicolle .
– Vuosi 2029 ei ole saksalainen arvio. Se on Nato-tasolla hyväksyttyä tiedustelutietoa, Freuding sanoo.
– Kaikki 32 Nato-liittolaista on samaa mieltä siitä, että Venäjä voisi kyetä hyökkäämään Nato-maahan vuonna 2029.
Freudingin mukaan Venäjä voisi kyetä hyökkäykseen jo aiemminkin huolimatta siitä, että se käy Ukrainassa laajamittaista hyökkäyssotaa, jossa se on kokenut kovia miestappioita.

Ukraina: Isku Venäjän öljyinfrastruktuuriin
Ukrainan asevoimat kertoi iskeneensä Venäjän öljyinfrastruktuuriin Volgogradin alueella. Isku osui öljyn käsittely- ja pumppauslaitokseen Kotovon kylän lähellä. Isku aiheutti tulipalon, Ukrainan asevoimien pääesikunta kertoi lauantaina uutistoimisto Reutersin mukaan.
Pääesikunnan mukaan laitos vastaa öljyn käsittelystä, kuljetuksesta ja pumppauksesta putkistoja pitkin Venäjän öljynjalostamoille sekä maan öljynvientiin liittyvään infrastruktuuriin. Pääesikunta kertoi asiasta Telegram-viestipalvelussa.
Liettuassa drooniuhka – Olikin sääpallo
Liettuan ilmavoimat antoi Vilnan alueelle keltaisen varoituksen todennäköisen ilmauhan takia, kertoo Liettuan yleisradio LRT . Varoitus poistettiin myöhemmin.
Liettuan kansallisen kriisikeskuksen mukaan havaittu objekti ei ollutkaan drooni, vaan sääpallo. Niitä käytetään mittaamaan erilaisia arvoja ilmakehästä. Asiasta kertoo Reuters.
