This comes two days before a planned signing of an Iran framework agreement at a ceremony in Switzerland. Trump will not attend the event and plans to send his Vice President JD Vance instead.

„Wenn sie sich nicht benehmen, werden wir direkt wieder damit beginnen, Bomben mitten auf ihre Köpfe zu werfen“, sagte Trump am Rande des G-7-Gipfels am Genfersee. Trump hatte in den vergangenen Wochen ähnlich gedroht.

In der Schweiz soll noch vor dem Wochenende das bereits digital unterschriebene Abkommen bei einem direkten Treffen der Parteien in einer Zeremonie unterzeichnet werden. Es wird bisher nicht damit gerechnet, dass Trump dabei sein wird, er will seinen Vize JD Vance schicken.
