Trump: Today's Israeli attack on Beirut should not have happened

US President Donald Trump stated that Israel's attack on Beirut earlier today 'should not have happened' and called for an end to hostilities, especially given the proximity of a potential peace agreement with Iran. Trump acknowledged Israel's right to defend itself but criticized the attack as 'very small and senseless.' He emphasized that all parties should withdraw and avoid further attacks, suggesting this could be the beginning of a lasting peace.
