Three people caught chopping wood in Zubin Potok State Forest
The police of Kosovo, in cooperation with officials from the Forestry Agency of Kosovo (APK), conducted an operation in the area of Mokra Gora in Zubin Potok, where they identified three cases of illegal cutting of trees in state-owned forest land. On June 16, 2026, at around 09:00, police units responded to reports and found individuals suspected of illegally cutting trees. In the first case, two people were caught in the act, but one managed to escape. The other was arrested, along with a car and a motorcycle, which were seized. Policia e Kosovës, në bashkëpunim me zyrtarët e Agjencisë Pyjore të Kosovës (APK), ka zhvilluar një aksion në zonën e Mokra Gorës në Zubin Potok, ku ka evidentuar tri raste të ndara të prerjes së paligjshme të druve në pronë shtetërore.
Sipas policisë, më 16 qershor 2026, rreth orës 09:00, njësitet policore pas pranimit të informatave kanë dalë në terren dhe kanë hasur persona të dyshuar duke prerë dru në pyll shtetëror.
Në rastin e parë, dy persona janë kapur në flagrancë, por njëri prej tyre ka arritur të arratiset nga vendi i ngjarjes. Personi tjetër është arrestuar, ndërsa një automjet-kombi dhe një motor-sharrë janë sekuestruar. Pas intervistimit, ai është liruar në procedurë të rregullt.
Në dy rastet e tjera, policia ka arrestuar nga një të dyshuar, të cilët po ashtu dyshohet se po prisnin dru në mënyrë të kundërligjshme në pyllin shtetëror. Gjatë intervenimit janë sekuestruar një automjet-kombi, një traktor me rimorkio si dhe gjithsej tre motor-sharra.
Me vendim të prokurorit, të dyshuarit janë intervistuar dhe më pas janë liruar në procedurë të rregullt.
