Freedom demands that the Janše government reduce the allowable fuel margin

The parliamentary group of Freedom (Svoboda) has called for an urgent session of the committee overseeing public finances due to the decision by Prime Minister Janez Janša's government to increase allowed margins for fuel sellers. The group prepared a resolution urging the government to lower these margins again until the final price of fuels reaches the level before the attack on Iran. They criticize the current government for using the energy crisis to raise profits for oil traders while reducing taxes, which they argue shifts the financial burden onto citizens.

Freedom: Janša's government must explain why people pay more and this money goes into the pockets of oil traders

The article states that the Freedom Party is demanding an explanation from the Janez Janša government regarding why people are paying more, while this money is being redirected into the pockets of oil traders.

Bias read (Left): The framing implies criticism of the government's economic policies, suggesting that increased payments by citizens benefit private interests rather than public good. This aligns with a left-leaning perspective that emphasizes redistribution and critiques capitalist structures.

Freedom refused to enter into partnership with Jansh and announced a government in the shadows

The executive board of the Freedom Party (Svoboda), the largest opposition party, has decided not to join the 'Successful Slovenia' partnership offered by Prime Minister and SDS leader Janez Janša. The decision was announced by Deputy Leader Klemen Boštjančič at the edge of today's extraordinary session of the National Assembly. He stated that the document provided by Janša contained no content and that the party would form a shadow cabinet in early July.

Bias read (Center): The article reports on a political decision without taking a stance or using biased language. It presents the statement from the Freedom Party and does not favor one side over another.
