Νέες φωτιές άναψε στο Ευρωπαϊκό μπάσκετ ένα ποστάρισμα του έγκυρου Τούρκου δημοσιογράφου Γιαγκίζ Σαμπουντσόγλου.
Όπως αποκάλυψε στο Χ, η αυριανή ημέρα είναι κάτι παραπάνω από καθοριστική για το πως θα διαμορφωθεί το παζλ της επόμενης περιόδου στη Euroleague με τη Μονακό στο επίκεντρο.
Όπως χαρακτηριστικά γράφει ο Σαμπουντσόγλου: «Η Μόνακο, η οποία βρήκε επενδυτή με έδρα τις ΗΠΑ, έχει πιθανότητες να συνεχίσει στη EuroLeague. Η κατάσταση της Μόνακο θα ξεκαθαρίσει στη γενική συνέλευση των μετόχων της EuroLeague που θα πραγματοποιηθεί αύριο. Εάν δοθεί έγκριση για την παραμονή της Μόνακο στη λίγκα, δεν θα πραγματοποιηθεί ψηφοφορία.

Ωστόσο, εάν δεν δοθεί έγκριση, μία ομάδα ανάμεσα σε Μπεσίκτας, ΠΑΟΚ , Μπαχτσεσεχίρ και Χάποελ Ιερουσαλήμ θα πάρει μια θέση στη EuroLeague. Η Αναντολού Εφές και η Φενέρμπαχτσε, οι οποίες είναι μέτοχοι της EuroLeague, έχουν από μία ψήφο η καθεμία.».
Η ομάδα από το Πριγκηπάτο βρέθηκε στα πρόθυρα της διάλυσης τη φετινή σεζόν, με τον Βασίλη Σπανούλη και αρκετούς παίκτες να αποχωρούν καθώς ο Ρώσος ιδιοκτήτης της ομάδας Αλεξέι Φεντόριτσεφ δεν μπορούσε να δώσει λύσεις στα μεγάλα οικονομικά προβλήματα που είχαν προκύψει.
Οι φήμες για την εύρεση επενδυτή από τις ΗΠΑ υπάρχουν εδώ και αρκετές εβδομάδες, ωστόσο αν δεν παρουσιαστούν επίσημα στοιχεία η Euroleague δεν φαίνεται διατεθειμένη να επιτρέψει να συνεχιστεί αυτή η κατάσταση.
