Ενα κοινό που με εξαίρεση την παρουσία του Τσάβι Πασκουάλ και τις… guest εμφανίσεις του Ρικ Πιτίνο αναζητούσε έναν προπονητή με πλούσιο βιογραφικό αλλά και ύφος για να επαναφέρει το «τριφύλλι» εκεί όπου το είχε οδηγήσει στο παρελθόν ο εμβληματικός Ζέλικο Ομπράντοβιτς .

Μόνο εκείνος θα περίμενε ότι η 17 η ομάδα του 2023 θα έφτανε 12 μήνες αργότερα στον «θρόνο» της Ευρωλίγκας και θα κατακτούσε τον ελληνικό τίτλο, αν και βρέθηκε πίσω στους τελικούς με 0-2. Οταν το 2022-23, η τουρκική ομάδα απέκτησε τον Ουίλ Κλάιμπερν , οι ισορροπίες χάθηκαν. Ο κόουτς Αταμάν ήταν μονίμως τσακωμένος μαζί του και δεν δίσταζε να κριτικάρει δημοσίως όλους τους σταρ του.
