Moving on to the end of the parliament today

The Icelandic parliament is set to conclude its session today before the summer break. Þingfundur stóð fram til klukkan hálfellefu í gærkvöldi og annar fundur er á dagskrá klukkan hálfellefu fyrir hádegið og skal stefnt að því að ljúka þingi í dag fyrir sumarfrí.

Nokkur mál eru á dagskrá, þar á meðal þrjú mál frá stjórnarandstöðuflokkunum sem samþykkt var að taka til umræðu á dögunum þegar verið var að semja um þinglok. Þar á meðal eru mál er varða gildistíma ökuskírteina, jarðakaup erlendra aðila og breytingar á lögum um stimpilgjald.

Að auki stendur til að klára umræðu um Stofnun atvinnuveganna sem verður til með sameiningu Matvælastofnunar, Fiskistofu og Verðlagsstofu skiptaverðs.

Með síðustu málum á dagskrá er svo veiting ríkisborgararéttar en alls eru nítján einstaklingar frá Úkraínu, Þýskalandi, Sýrlandi, Bandaríkjunum og fjölda annarra landa á lista frumvarpsins.
