Train traffic halted due to fire – now reopened

A fire broke out in a house in Valnesfjord, Nordland, near the railway line. The fire spread to a garage and a car caught fire. The police reported the incident at 7:43 PM, with flames and smoke coming from the first floor of the house. The fire also affected the electrical wiring leading to the house. No one was inside the house during the incident. By 9:00 PM, the police confirmed that train traffic on the Nordlandsbanen had resumed.

Brannen spredte seg til en garasje, og en bil har tok fyr.

Politiet meldte om brannen klokka 19.43. Det kom da flammer og røyk fra førsteetasje i huset. Det brant også i strømledningen inn til huset.

Ingen befant seg i boligen som ligger i Valnesfjord i Fauske kommune.

I 21.00-tiden meldte politiet at togene gikk som normalt igjen.
