Special use: Man smuggling chemicals in his apartment

A man in Chemnitz was found to have stored dangerous and explosive chemicals in his apartment. Police reported that the 63-year-old tenant had substances that he likely wasn't allowed to possess. A special unit from the Saxony State Criminal Office examined the chemicals and determined that some were unsafe to handle. The substances were taken to the city outskirts and rendered harmless later that evening. The professional fire department of Chemnitz also checked the substances and confirmed that some were explosive.
