Sintra reopens access to the forest perimeter and monuments are open

The municipal council of Sintra initially restricted access to the forested area due to a maximum risk level of rural fire issued by IPMA. On Friday, they announced that access would be limited starting June 13 until the risk situation improved. Today, the municipality updated their note on Facebook, stating that restrictions have been lifted due to reduced fire risk. The Sintra National Park, Moorish Castle, Monserrate Park and Palace, and the Convent of Capuchos are now open to the public under normal conditions.
