Kebabs
1kg mince
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 tbs crushed garlic
1 tablespoon ginger and garlic
4 red chillies, chopped
½ cup chopped mint
½ cup chopped coriander
1 box Shan Spice Seekh Kebab
Rice:
1 cup basmati rice
½ packet Shan Spice Pilaf
5 tbs butter
1/3 cup roasted cashews
1/3 cup golden raisins
Method
Mix all the ingredients together and rest in the fridge for 20 minutes.
Shape into kebabs. Braai or grill them in the oven on 200ºC for 15 minutes.
Rice:
Soak the rice in boiling water for 30 minutes. Drain and rinse. Add more water and salt. Cook until soft, but a bit firm.
Drain and set aside.
In a pot, add the butter and the Shan Spice Pilaf. Coat the rice with the spice. Add the cashews and the raisins.
Cover and steam for 15 minutes on low heat.
Salad:
Chop cucumber, red onions, cherry tomatoes and jalapeño. Coat them in olive oil. Add crushed garlic, salt and black pepper.
