Američka vojska napala je u istočnom Pacifiku plovilo osumnjičeno za krijumčarenje droge, u okviru višemesečne kampanje administracije predsednika Donalda Trampa protiv navodnih krijumčara u Latinskoj Americi, a u najnovijem napadu su ubijene tri osobe.

Do sada je ubijeno najmanje 211 osoba u napadima na brodove od kada je Trampova adminsitracija počela da cilja, kako navodi "narko teroriste" početkom septembra.

Kao i u većini vojnih saopštenja o udarima u istočno Pacifiku i u Karipskom moru američka Južna komanda saopštila je da je gađala navodne krijumčare drogom duž poznatih ruta za krijumčarenje.

Vojska nije navela dokaze da je brod prevozio drogu. U videu objavljenom na mreži Iks pokazuje se brod kako plovi morem kada je pogođen, i vidi se da izbija požar na njemu.

Tramp je rekao da su SAD u "oružanom sukobu" sa kartelima u Latinskoj Americi i opravdao je napade kao "potrebnu eskalaciju" da bi se zaustavio dotok droge u SAD, i prekinulo fatalno predoziranje koje oduzima živote Amerikanaca. Ali njegova administracija dala je malo dokaza za tvrdnje da su ubijeni "narkoteroristi", piše AP.

Kritičari dovode u pitanje legalnost tih udara kao i njihovu efikasnost, delimično i zato što fentanil koji je uzrok mnogih predoziranja uglavnom krijumčari kopnom u SAD preko Meksika, gde se proizvodi od hemikalija uvezenih iz Kine i Indije.

Američki senatori su juče tražili od Pentagona da objavi neredigovane video snimke udara. Udare na brodove posebno razmatraju demokrate članovi Kongresa i vojni pravni stručnjaci.
