Rúben Dias at risk for debut: continues to train separately due to injury

O defesa-central Rúben Dias voltou esta terça-feira, 16 de junho, a trabalhar à parte da restante seleção portuguesa de futebol, no derradeiro treino antes da estreia no Mundial 2026, frente à República Democrática do Congo, na quarta-feira.

O jogador do Manchester City ainda não fez qualquer treino com a equipa das quinas no estágio em Palm Beach, nos Estados Unidos, e esta terça-feira, durante os 15 minutos abertos à comunicação social, fez a corrida de aquecimento com os restantes jogadores de campo, mas acabou depois por fazer trabalho específico.

Os restantes 21 jogadores de campo, assim como os quatro guarda-redes, trabalharam sem aparentes limitações, horas antes da viagem para o Houston, marcada para as 15h00 locais (20h00 em Lisboa).

Já no Texas, o selecionador português, o espanhol Roberto Martínez, e um jogador, vão fazer a antevisão do jogo com a RD Congo, às 18h45 locais (00h45 de quarta-feira em Lisboa).

Portugal vai disputar o Grupo K e tem estreia marcada para quarta-feira frente à RD Congo, em Houston, numa partida com início agendado para as 12:00 locais (18:00 horas de Lisboa).

Segue-se o estreante Uzbequistão em 23 de junho, também em Houston e igualmente com início às 12h00 (18h00), ficando o grupo fechado em 27 de junho, com Portugal a defrontar a Colômbia em Miami, num jogo que começa às 19h30 (00h30 de 28 de junho).

O Mundial 2026, o primeiro de sempre com 48 seleções, vai decorrer até 19 de julho, nos Estados Unidos, no México e no Canadá.
