Barbarez je ocijenio da je njegov tim nakon lošijeg početka utakmice imao vrlo dobar period igre.
„Sigurno da smo malo lošije ušli u utakmicu, ali od prvog cooling breaka do gola smo za mene čak bili i bolji protivnik od Švicaraca jer smo imali dvije ili tri odlične akcije iz kojih se možda i trebalo postići gol“ , smatra selektor.
Dodao je da su pojedinačne greške i crveni karton u velikoj mjeri odredili tok susreta.
„Na kraju krajeva, dođe taj gol koji ne smije da se desi individualnom greškom, ali i crveni karton. Mnoge i iskusnije ekipe imaju problem s tim. Naravno, kada izgubite igrača, sve postaje otvorenije. Ovaj dio do gola sigurno je bio vrlo obećavajući“ , ocijenio je Barbarez.
Gol Mahnića jedina svijetla tačka
Mrkonja je nakon utakmice izdvojio pogodak Mahnića kao najpozitivniji trenutak susreta.
„Jedina pozitivna tačka u toj utakmici bio je gol Mahnića koji je postigao prekrasan pogodak i barem privremeno dao nadu reprezentaciji Bosne i Hercegovine da može uraditi nešto više u ovoj utakmici“ , rekao je Mrkonja.
Prema njegovim riječima, nakon toga je ubrzo stigao jedanaesterac i četvrti pogodak Švicarske, čime je pitanje pobjednika definitivno riješeno.
