Portugal faces Romania and Denmark in qualifying for the futsal World Cup2028

Portugal, the 2021 world champion and second in the world rankings, has advanced directly to the main round of qualification for the 2028 Futsal World Cup without needing to compete in the preliminary stage. Portugal will face Romania and Denmark between October 12 and March 3, 2027. The elite round of European qualification for the World Cup will take place between September 6 and December 22, 2027, following a draw scheduled for May 20. The UEFA will have seven teams among the 24 in the final phase of the 11th edition of the World Cup, though the dates and location remain undecided.

Portugal, campeão do mundo em 2021 e segundo do ranking mundial, avançou para a ronda principal sem disputar a fase preliminar e vai defrontar Roménia e Dinamarca, entre 12 de outubro e 03 de março de 2027.

Avançam para a Ronda de Elite os vencedores dos 12 grupos, assim como os quatro melhores segundos classificados, enquanto os restantes oito segundos classificados irão disputar um play-off.

A Ronda de Elite de qualificação europeia para o Mundial vai ser disputada entre 06 de setembro e 22 de dezembro de 2027, após o sorteio marcado para 20 de maio.

A UEFA vai ter sete seleções entre as 24 na fase final da 11.ª edição do Mundial, cujas datas e local ainda não estão definidos.
