OPTUŽNO vijeće Općinskog kaznenog suda u Zagrebu potvrdilo je optužnicu protiv dvojice 18-godišnjaka koji se terete za palež Vjesnika sredinom studenog prošle godine, potvrdio je za Hinu odvjetnik Petar Barbir.
Optužnica protiv dvojice mladića podignuta je u veljači ove godine, a njome se terete za teško kazneno djelo protiv opće sigurnosti. Potvrđenom optužnicom optuženici se terete da su zgradu Vjesnika zapalili 17. studenog 2025., zajedno i po prethodnom dogovoru.
Velika materijalna šteta
Prema optužnici, prvookrivljeni 18-godišnjak je zapalio kartonsku kutiju ispunjenu papirima, a drugookrivljeni zapalio papir iz te kutije i potom zapaljeni papir vratio u kartonsku kutiju. Zbog toga je došlo do ubrzanog širenja vatre te do požara više katova zgrade koja je u potpunosti uništena, čime su prouzročili materijalnu štetu velikih razmjera, navodi tužiteljstvo.
U optužnici državno odvjetništvo je sudu predložilo produljenje istražnog zatvora u domu protiv obojice okrivljenika zbog opasnosti od ponavljanja kaznenog djela. Dvojica 18-godišnjaka puštena su krajem prosinca iz istražnog zatvora u kućni pritvor, uz obavezno nošenje elektronske nanogice.

Policija je nakon požara izvijestila da su mladići, 17. studenoga oko 21.50 sati, preskočili ogradu nebodera na Slavonskoj aveniji, ušli u zgradu te na 15. katu izazvali požar, a s njima je navodno bilo i troje maloljetnika. Mediji su pisali da ostala četiri maloljetnika, koja su se nalazila u Vjesnikovoj zgradi netom prije i po izbijanja požara, imaju status svjedoka.

Uz optužnicu je priloženo i telekomunikacijsko vještačenje koje ima gotovo šest tisuća stranica i odnosi se najvećim dijelom na pisanu komunikaciju 18-godišnjaka te ostalih tinejdžera koji su te večeri bili u Vjesniku.
Otkriveno je i da se jedan od dvojice okrivljenika interesirao kako doći do bosanskohercegovačkog državljanstva, iz čega tužiteljstvo zaključuje da je imao namjeru izbjeći kazneni progon za palež Vjesnika.
