Si stringe il cerchio attorno ad Andrea Sempio e la madre finisce in ospedale. Un'overdose di farmaci, che Daniela Ferrari ha assunto al culmine della pressione scatenata in questi giorni dalle immagini di suo figlio davanti al procuratore aggiunto pavese Stefano Civardi, in quell'interrogatorio del 6 maggio scorso quando la Procura ha delineato l'impianto accusatorio della nuova inchiesta sul delitto di Garlasco, comunicando all'indagato che "la Procura ritiene che lei sia l'assassino di Chiara Poggi ". Immagini forti, che hanno fatto il giro delle tv e che, forse, hanno pesato sul calvario giudiziario della famiglia Sempio, soprattutto di mamma Daniela, già sotto psicofarmaci per la situazione di salute precaria.
E ieri mattina la signora Ferrari, non è chiaro se per un errore o per un vero e proprio tentativo di suicidio, ha assunto più gocce di quelle che avrebbe dovuto prendere. Da lì il malore, l'arrivo dell'ambulanza e la corsa al pronto soccorso dell'ospedale di Vigevano, dove i medici l'hanno sottoposta a una lavanda gastrica. A rendere nota la tragedia sfiorata è stato l'avvocato di Andrea, Liborio Cataliotti. "Sono in partenza da Roma, ero in Cassazione a discutere un processo, ero in compagnia dell'avvocato Angela Taccia quando è arrivata la telefonata che annunciava il ricovero", ha raccontato il legale a Dentro la notizia, il programma di Canale 5 condotto da Gianluigi Nuzzi. "Si tratta di un ricovero urgente, al pronto soccorso, per overdose di farmaci, non sappiamo se assunti volontariamente o meno", spiega l'avvocato. "Ci abbiamo tenuto a mandare un messaggio come team difensivo affinché il cliente stia vicino alla mamma, la tranquillizzi, perché le dica che noi moltiplicheremo gli sforzi - assicura - per far sì che si dimentichi tutti gli attacchi dei social, le lettere che riceve, le email. Deve spegnere tutto, non è indagata, non è coinvolta, ha la sola colpa di avere il figlio sottoposto a questo procedimento, e forse questo campanello d'allarme ci dice che questo è il momento per tutti di abbassare i toni". Mamma Daniela è ora fuori pericolo, dopo una notte in rianimazione, ma resta il giallo se l'overdose di psicofarmaci sia stata un gesto volontario o una scelta arbitraria di aumentare il dosaggio per tenere sotto controllo un'angoscia legata alla preoccupazione accumulata in questi mesi e alla paura di un rinvio a giudizio del figlio. Il dubbio che Daniela Ferrari possa aver tentato un gesto estremo è legato alle dichiarazioni rilasciate dalla donna, nelle scorse settimane, a Quarto Grado, quando, lasciando intendere di aver passato momenti di disperazione, ha detto: "Paura? Neanche la morte mi fa paura. Forse sarebbe la cosa migliore per riposare. Io ci ho pensato. Se dovessi fare una cosa del genere direbbero che la mamma si è ammazzata perché sa che il figlio è colpevole, e sai quanti messaggi mi sono arrivati che dicono: Ammazzati che è meglio?". Dall'altro lato c'è comunque una condizione di salute molto labile: quello di ieri è già il terzo malore della signora. La prima volta che la mamma di Sempio si è sentita male è stata il 28 aprile 2025, quando convocata dai carabinieri di Milano si è avvalsa della facoltà di non rispondere ma ha avuto un mancamento non appena gli investigatori le hanno fatto il nome di un amico pompiere, legato alla questione delle scontrino presentato dal figlio come alibi per il delitto. "È colpa mia, gli ho detto io di tenere lo scontrino, gli ho rovinato la vita all'Andrea", si dispera Daniela il 22 ottobre 2025 in auto con il marito Giuseppe, il quale gli aveva appena detto che "lo scontrino lo hai fatto tu".
E ancora: la donna era finita all'ospedale San Matteo di Pavia il 16 ottobre scorso per quello che sembrava un problema neurologico, a seguito dell'inchiesta di Brescia sulla corruzione per l'archiviazione di Sempio nel 2017.
