Junij me vedno nekoliko preseneti. Kot da po vseh velikih praznikih cerkvenega leta ostane tišina. Ni več velike noči, ni več binkoštnega vetra, samo še dnevi, ki tečejo drug za drugim, skoraj neopazno. In ravno v teh dneh se začnem spraševati: kakšna je moja vera, ko ni velikih trenutkov? Kakšna je, ko ni občutkov, ki bi me nosili, ko ni zunanjih spodbud, ki bi me opominjale?
Včasih si želim, da bi bila moja vera močnejša, bolj očitna, bolj »junaška«. Da bi bila nekaj, kar se vidi, kar navdihuje. Potem pa se zavem, da svetost ni v dramatičnosti, ampak v odločitvi. V tihi, vsakdanji odločitvi, da ostaneš zvest. Tudi ko bi bilo lažje oditi. Tudi ko te nihče ne vidi. Tudi ko se zdi, da tvoje vztrajanje nima posebnega pomena.
»Bodi zvest do smrti, in dam ti venec življenja« (Raz 2,10). Te besede me vedno nekoliko zatresejo. Ne govorijo o popolnosti, ampak o zvestobi. O tem, da vztrajam. Da ne obupam prehitro. Da ne iščem vedno lažjih poti.
