Four people were drowned when a boat capsized in Mikkel . One drowned .

Yksi ihminen on kuollut Mikkelissä Louhijärvellä sattuneessa veneonnettomuudessa.

Hätäkeskus sai ilmoituksen vesiliikenneonnettomuudesta Mikkelin Louhijärventiellä aamuyöllä kello 4.24.

Etelä-Savon pelastuslaitoksen mukaan neljä henkilöä joutui veneen kaaduttua veden varaan ja heistä kolme onnistui pelastautumaan saaren rantaan.

Pelastuslaitoksen sukeltajat löysivät hukkuneen.

Itä-Suomen poliisilaitoksen mukaan neljän nuoren miehen seurue oli liikkeellä soutuveneellä. Kaikki miehet olivat täysi-ikäisiä ja heillä ei ollut käytössään pelastusliivejä.

Poliisi tutkii asiaa kuolemansyyn selvittämisenä.
