Da Evian – Donald Trump sbarca in Europa all’indomani della conclusione dell’ accordo di tregua duratura con l’Iran. Il presidente degli Stati Uniti è atteso a Evian-les-Bains per il vertice G7 convocato sulla sponda francese del Lago Lemano da Emmanuel Macron . Con i due capi di Stato – che avranno subito un bilaterale prima dell’inizio del vertice – sono attesi ovviamente anche gli altri capi di governo dei Paesi del G7: Giorgia Meloni , Keir Starmer , Friedrich Merz , Mark Carney e Sanae Takaichi . Tutte le attenzioni saranno rivolte però a Donald Trump. I leader europei e di Canada e Giappone attendono di capire da lui in cosa consiste esattamente l’intesa siglata con gli Ayatollah, da formalizzare venerdì a Ginevra. Se non altro la buona notizia è che Trump dovrebbe arrivare di ottimo umore. «Questo Grande Accordo porterà Pace e Sicurezza all’intera Regione . Molti presidenti prima di me hanno provato a fare la Pace con l’Iran, e hanno fallito», ha scritto euforico nella notte italiana su Truth.
Cosa succede a Evian
I capi di Stato e di governo arrivano oggi alla spicciolata all’hotel sede del vertice. In mattinata sono già arrivati la presidente della Commissione Ue Ursula von der Leyen e quello del presidente del Consiglio europeo Antonio Costa . Nel primo pomeriggio arrivano Starmer e Carney. Donald Trump avrà subito un bilaterale col padrone di casa Macron, prima di un saluto ufficiale congiunto alle 16.45. Giorgia Meloni è attesa alle 17.45, seguita dalla premier giapponese che ha ricevuto questa mattina a Roma. Buon ultimo il Cancelliere tedesco Friedrich Merz (dimenticato dall’Eliseo nel programma ufficiale distribuito alla stampa). Dopo il ritrovo collettivo il luogo dei conciliaboli sarà la cena dei leader a partire dalla 19.30. Dove oltre che sull’Iran i leader occidentali proveranno a sollecitare Trump pure sull’Ucraina, con l’obiettivo di allineare i pianeti su sostegno all’Ucraina e spinta ai negoziati con Vladimir Putin . Domattina, altrimenti, ci penserà direttamente Volodymyr Zelensky , atteso a Evian di prima mattina.
