The European Union is also calling for the release of the three men who were killed in the attack on the swimming pool in the city of Bremen.

Linda Brandt-Ahde, a member of the Lappeenranta city council and representative of the National Coalition Party (kok.), was investigated for alleged defamation following an incident at a swimming pool in January 2025. The incident involved a disagreement with a staff member over her season pass. However, the prosecutor has decided not to charge her with defamation.

Epäilty kunnianloukkaus liittyi tammikuussa vuonna 2025 Lappeenrannan Lauritsalan uimahallin kassalla tapahtuneeseen välikohtaukseen.

Lappeenrannan kaupunginvaltuutettu Linda Brandt-Ahde (kok.) ei saa syytettä kunnianloukkauksesta. Itä-Suomen syyttäjänalueen syyttäjä teki päätöksen tänään.

Epäilty kunnianloukkaus liittyi tammikuussa vuonna 2025 Lappeenrannan Lauritsalan uimahallin kassalla tapahtuneeseen välikohtaukseen.

Tuolloin Brandt-Ahde oli menossa uimaan, mutta kassalla työskennellyt henkilö kertoi poliitikon sarjalipun vanhentuneen. Brandt-Ahteen mielestä hänen sarjakortillaan piti olla käyntejä jäljellä.

Brandt-Ahde ja kassahenkilö kävivät asiasta kiivasta sananvaihtoa. Brandt-Ahteen epäillään loukanneen tässä yhteydessä kassahenkilön kunniaa.

Kaakkois-Suomen poliisi ehti jo aiemmin keskeyttää poliisitutkinnan asiasta, mutta aluesyyttäjä määräsi vuoden 2025 marraskuussa asian uudelleen tutkintaan.
