„Tudjátok, hogy semmi kedvem megváltozni. Nem teszek se fél-, se teljes fordulatot” – jelentette ki Orbán Viktor, miután a Fidesz szombati tisztújító kongresszusán ismét megválasztották a párt elnökének, és előtte a párt tagjai órákon át már-már unalomig ismételgették, hogy az áprilisi vereség után megújulásra és fiatalításra van szükség.
Ezt egyébként Orbán se tagadta, a választási vereség okait elemezve délelőtt azt mondta, hogy a Fidesz főkolomposaként ő az egyedüli felelős, de még odáig is eljutott, hogy a fiatalok durván elutasították az ő személyét, és szerinte végül ezen úszott el az egész választás. A felelősségvállalást mégis letudta annyival, hogy a választás után felajánlotta a lemondását , majd a tisztújításon ismét őt választották meg a párt élére. Kihívója ezúttal sem akadt.
A közel hat órán át tartó kongresszus felszólalásaiból az a kép rajzolódott ki, hogy a párton belül nincs valós igény az ő távozására, de még az a dilemma sem merült fel egy fél mondat erejéig sem, hogy lehetséges-e Orbánnal a megújulás. Hidvéghi Balázs országgyűlési képviselő szokatlanul keményen és őszintén szállt bele a Fidesz kommunikációs- és kampányhibáiba , de addig ő sem merészkedett el, hogy ebben Orbánnak milyen felelőssége van. Sőt inkább arról beszélt, hogy a következő időszakban meg kell védeniük „Orbán Viktor kivételes politikai teljesítményét”.
Hidvéghi volt az egyetlen, aki a vereség okai közé sorolta a 2024-es kegyelmi botrányt, ahonnan a Fidesz mélyrepülése és a Tisza Párt története datálható. Szerinte ez a seb azóta sem gyógyult be, és máig nem tisztázódott, hogy pontosan mi történt. Mások inkább csak kommunikációs és szervezeti hibákról beszéltek, na meg arról, hogy nem volt megfelelő válaszuk a NER-elit fényűzésének kritikájára és a korrupciós vádakra. Gyurákovics Andrea ferencvárosi politikus Lázár tavaly márciusi mondását felidézve a Fideszre tapadt kullancsokat kritizálta, Révész Máriusz volt kormánybiztos szerint pedig sok morális hibát vétettek, és addig nem lesz megújulás, amíg ezekkel nem néznek szembe.
Ez volt a ritkább vélemény, a vereség okai és a tartalmi megújulás helyett a kongresszus többsége inkább Magyar Pétert és a Tisza Pártot támadta. Navracsics Tibor például azt mondta, hogy az új kormány embertelen és működésképtelen országot épít, és leépíti a fékek és ellensúlyok rendszerét, más pedig amiatt aggódott, hogy Magyar lebontja a jogállamot és a demokráciát. Talán Kövér László és Deutsch Tamás felszólalásában ütközött ki a legjobban, hogy mennyire nem értik az április 12-i választás üzenetét: előbbi a „brüsszeli bábok” pusztításának nevezte a Tisza Párt kormányzását, utóbbi pedig szinte kizárólag genderideológiáról, migrációról és Brüsszelről beszélt.
A megújulás vissza-visszatérő ígéretét legfeljebb annyi jelezte, hogy kimaradtak a programból a Fidesz-kampány meghatározó szereplői: Szijjártó Péter, Lázár János, Kocsis Máté, Menczer Tamás és Orbán Balázs. A nap nagy részében az országos politikában ismeretlen, helyi követek mondták el néhány percben a véleményüket. Ezekből maximum annyit lehetett kiolvasni, hogy a Fidesz vezetése az elmúlt években teljesen eltávolodott a helyi szervezetektől, és a párt alacsonyabb szintjein semmi beleszólásuk, visszajelzési lehetőségük nem volt.
A forgatókönyv arra épült, hogy a kongresszus elején Orbán mond egy beszédet, majd a hozzászólásokra és kritikákra a végén újabb beszédben reagál, de ő a megválasztása után lényegében csak annyit mondott, hogy nem fog megváltozni. Egy ígéretet azért tett a tagságnak: nem festi át magát, és továbbra se jár herebere partikra . A fiatalítás az ő délutáni beszédében is előkerült, és úgy fogalmazott, hogy a párt élén is nemzedékváltásra van szükség. „Jöjjenek a fiatalok, negyvenesek meg harmincasok, akik hajlandóak beletenni harminc-negyven évet az életükből a haza szolgálatába.” Azt ígérte, hogy a következő egy évben azért fog dolgozni elnökként, hogy „ez minél hamarabb megtörténjen, és egy új nagy korszak kezdődhessen a Fidesz életében”.
Állítása szerint azért csak egy évre vállalta az elnökséget, mert becsületbeli ügynek tartja, hogy a vereség után lemondjon, de ne álljon félre. „Becsületbeli ügynek tartom, hogy a Fideszt rendezett, korszerűsített és győzelemre esélyes pártként adjam át a fiataloknak. Ezt a munkát el is fogom végezni.” Arról azonban valójában semmit nem tudhattunk meg, hogy miből áll majd ez a munka.
Orbán a délelőtti beszédében azt mondta, hogy másfajta működésre van szükség ellenzékben, és az a feladatuk, hogy az emberek hangja legyenek, valamint megszervezzék az ellenállást „a kormány hibás döntéseivel, nézeteivel és erőszakos hatalmi visszaéléseivel szemben”. Szerinte őszre kiderül, hogy meddig tűri az ország a mostani kormány bántalmazó kormányzását, aztán eljön a patrióták nagy nemzeti ellenállásának ideje.
