Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the signing of Thabo Moloisane ahead of the new season, adding a Soweto-born defender with growing experience at both domestic and continental level.
Born in Meadowlands, Soweto, Moloisane returns to familiar footballing roots as he joins the Glamour Boys from Stellenbosch FC, where he established himself as one of the most reliable defenders in the league.
During his time in the Western Cape, he made an impressive 115 appearances over three seasons, a reflection of his consistency, fitness and importance to the team’s defensive structure.
Primarily operating as a centre-back, Moloisane developed a reputation for disciplined positioning, strong aerial presence and calm distribution from the back — attributes that have made him one of the more dependable defensive figures outside the traditional “big three” clubs.
His performances did not go unnoticed at national level, earning him two call-ups to the South African senior squad, a recognition of his steady rise and defensive maturity.
Beyond domestic football, Moloisane also brings valuable continental experience, having featured in CAF Confederation Cup competition.
That exposure to African opposition, different tactical approaches and high-pressure away fixtures is expected to be a major asset for Chiefs as they prepare for another return to continental football.
