One driver, five heavy trucks: "Unmanned" freight cars

A Chinese company, Sany Group, in collaboration with technology firm Pony.ai, has developed the fourth generation of autonomous heavy trucks, which are nearing final preparation for mass production. The first models are expected to enter commercial transportation this year. These trucks feature a battery pack with a capacity over 400 kWh and are projected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by around 60 tons annually per vehicle. One notable innovation is the '1+4' formation, where one manned truck leads four fully autonomous vehicles. Pilot projects suggest this method could reduce transport成本

Ovaj korak, kako piše portal Pluton logistic , predstavlja novo poglavlje u razvoju autonomnog teretnog transporta u Kini i dodatno učvršćuje poziciju zemlje među globalnim liderima u primeni inteligentnih logističkih rešenja.
