Japan expresses 'deep concern' over continued attacks in Lebanon

Japan expresses deep concern over the ongoing attacks between Israel and Hezbollah, which have caused civilian casualties and infrastructure damage. The Japanese government spokesperson called for an immediate cessation of fighting and emphasized adherence to international humanitarian law and UN resolutions. Japan reiterated its commitment to diplomatic efforts aimed at achieving peace and stability in the region. Meanwhile, the United States and Iran signed a memorandum of understanding to end hostilities across all fronts, including Lebanon, and to reopen the Strait of Hormuz to navigation.
