Gender identity: AR will hold public hearings to broaden the range of opinions

The Portuguese parliament's Constitutional Affairs, Rights, Freedoms, and Guarantees committee reached a consensus on the entities and methodology for the specialty process of laws regarding gender self-determination. The methodology proposed by the Socialist Party (PS) involves hearing all entities and personalities requested by the parties, though with different formats.

Bias read (Center): The article reports on a procedural decision made by a parliamentary committee without taking a stance on the issue of gender identity itself. It presents the methodology agreed upon by the committee in a neutral manner, focusing on the process rather than the content of the legislation.
