He was initially taken to KPM Hospital on Birhana Road before being referred to Hallet Hospital, where he died during treatment 11 days later on Tuesday. According to Pheelkhana police station in-charge Abhay Pratap Singh, Niharika admitted during questioning that she had attacked her husband with a knife. She was arrested and sent to jail. Manish's father Ramkishore Gupta said his son had married Niharika, a teacher, in 2017 after the family learned about their relationship. The couple had a six-year-old son, Riyansh.
