Fire: Truck catches fire A8 locked for hours after fire

A truck carrying wood caught fire on the A8 motorway near Stuttgart, leading to partial closures. Firefighters were on site and managed to control the blaze quickly. Der in Vollbrand geratene Lkw mitsamt Holzladung sorgte für eine Sperrung auf der A8.

Ein mit Holz beladener Lastwagen ist auf der Autobahn 8 bei Stuttgart in Vollbrand geraten. Wie die Feuerwehr am Dienstagabend auf der Plattform X mitteilte , ereignete sich der Unfall auf Höhe Fasanenhof. Zahlreiche Einsatzkräfte waren vor Ort. Autofahrer wurden aufgefordert, eine Rettungsgasse zu bilden und den Bereich zu umfahren.

Nach Angaben der Feuerwehr war das Feuer zügig unter Kontrolle. Die Einsatzkräfte waren danach noch mit Nachlöscharbeiten beschäftigt. Der Einsatz werde noch längere Zeit andauern, bis die Fahrbahn wieder vollständig für den Verkehr freigegeben werden könne, hieß es am Abend.
