Five are charged after the explosion in Westås

A 15-year-old boy is suspected of causing an explosion at a house in Västerås using a homemade pipe bomb filled with gasoline. He faces charges of aggravated damage and violating laws regarding hazardous materials. The explosion was directed at one of the people present at the address. Four additional individuals are being prosecuted, including two other minors aged 15, a man in his 30s who allegedly assisted in some capacity, and an 18-year-old accused of instigating the damage and threats. Killen som var 15 år vid tillfället är misstänkt för allmänfarlig ödeläggelse och grovt brott mot lagen om brandfarliga och explosiva varor. Det för att ha hanterat och genomfört detonationen av den hemmagjorda rörbomben vid bostadshuset.

Brottet bedöms som grovt då bomben satt ihop med en fylld bensindunk. Han misstänks också för grovt olaga hot, då sprängningen var riktat mot en av personerna på adressen.

Ytterligare fyra personer står åtalade i målet. Två minderåriga killar i 15-årsåldern, och en man i 30-årsåldern misstänks ha hjälpt till på olika sätt. En man i 18-årsåldern är misstänkt för anstiftan av allmänfarlig ödeläggelse och anstiftan av olaga hot.
